Detachment
Having come from a successful engagement with my current job, in other words I got what I wanted, I now see how in fact, detachment is the key thing that needs to be sought after. Along side that we need to also seek awareness. The two come hand in hand. I was prepared to let things go if I didn’t get my way, and this was also after I had made a request in another area that wasn’t moving nor were there any gestures in my direction, so I played another card, as if in response, but one that I had intended, plus I made the request with, some might say an unreasonable limitation. Firstly, I realised I wasn’t tied to the job and it didn’t have control over me. Here is the detachment. It’s not the first time I’ve done this in my life, however this time I’ve used it better to get what I want, at a time I could. It is the ultimate power move. How awareness comes into this though is the need to have a solid look at your situation and what you are prepared to do. I must do more of this, but at that time it took a long time to build up to that situation. I wasn’t aware for much of the time before that.
Standards and independent thinking.
How do these concepts come close to this? One of the biggest reasons why I left Ireland in the first place was the complete and utter lack of standards that operate in the country. It’s probably the single biggest reason why anyone with notions leave. Standards of doing things are so low that there is no inspiration. It’s like watching a terrible soap 24hours a day, knowing that, while it may be popular, you know it is also turning your brain into soup.
With no original quality stuff coming from Ireland I have to think why that is so. When I see that anything that is made here is made to fit into an English market that makes me wonder. With my time now away from Ireland giving me another eye I can see that through the colonisation of the land and through all of the machinations of foreign control and expressions of power, whether through the Roman Church, the English government and plantations and now Globalisation, it’s possible to see that people in Ireland feel that they need to behave in an English speaking world, if they wish to reach to the top. The only problem there however is that to reach to the top you need to seek quality and high standards. If however our language is English and it is not of our making, nor are we even in the most influential circle currently (such as the UK) we have absolutely no means to get there in that international language. Other places would utilise their own language to manifest their own energy and create motion, but in our case we are so totally colonised that there is no likelihood of this. Instead people operate within the sphere they know. What do they know in an utterly Anglicised world? Corporatism and destruction of everything for the sake of the Anglo-American corp elite. With a lumbering pace everyone is trudging through their lives consuming every easy thing and living on advertising messaging and products, expecting riches to come any second, while those that have any creative juices operate within an atmosphere of “sure, that’ll do”, and eventually crush anyone else who even dares to look different, hoping they fail at what actually people wanted to do themselves.
With this kind of passively accepted death through English language people accept the easy and whatever…
Looking back at all the history that tries to speak to us in the landscape and the monuments to our better forefathers, it’s easy to see how far they were in fact enlightened to their own culture and sense of selves. They bowed to no one, accepting only the native way of doing things, for why wouldn’t they?! It had produced fine castles, and works of art, and native forms of Christian expression that kept the rest of Europe ticking during the dark ages. What was the vehicle for all this? Our language.
So in the search for standards we must seek inspiration from everything that was of us and indigenous. Only since foreign control did we lose our way. Recreation of high standards first requires us to detach from anything external. There must be a purging and relearning of our native expression. By being proud of our
Being independent-minded requires us to be prepared to distance ourselves from those things that show no interest in us or don’t have our interests at heart. By using Irish and living in our own world we can aim for the highest highs because it is ours and only ours. We may behave in an international setting with English but we are also very knowledgable and confident through our own ways that are informed by our language. We are beholden to no one and this gives us the ultimate power and independence of body and mind. We are free to seek high standards and seek an higher level of being. Self improvement and standards. It’ll do is for the colonised. The best, or what’s possible, or vision is for the sovereign soul.
To seek out the best you must detach yourself from those things that you feel you need, but after a stage of awareness you can realise they are holding you back.
Very sloppy and all over the place. Not the best thinking. The notes in my diary are the best and the very concise. I need to use them and remember what I was trying to do here about the use of the terms of “independence of mind”, standards, detachment, and awareness.”
